Carson Hocevar and Ryan Preece both faced disappointment and frustration in Texas despite starting strong. Hocevar took the pole position for the first time in his career, while Preece steadily moved up during the race. Unfortunately, a caution during green-flag pit stops shuffled their positions late in the race, putting them off track.
Ultimately, they ended up in the middle of the pack and had a collision on Lap 238. This incident led to a heated exchange, with Preece expressing his anger towards Hocevar’s aggressive driving style. However, they later had a productive conversation and cleared the air, understanding each other’s perspectives.
Moving on to Kansas, Hocevar finished 24th and Preece had a DNF, finishing 29th. Despite their past clashes, both drivers now aim to move forward without disrupting each other’s progress and momentum on the track. Preece had previously called out Hocevar in a similar incident during a 2022 NASCAR Truck Series race at Charlotte.
